Questions people actually ask
Written for someone holding a court order who has not done this before. Where the honest answer is that only your court can decide, that is what it says.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know which class I need?
- Your court order names the exact program, and so will your probation officer or attorney if you have one. Match that name to the class on this site. If the wording is unclear, send us a photo of the order and we will tell you which class it means before you pay for anything.
- Are the classes really online?
- Yes. Every class is taught live over Zoom by an instructor. It is not self-paced video, so you attend at a scheduled time and stay for the full session. You need a device with a camera and somewhere quiet where you can be seen and heard.
- Will my court accept the certificate?
- We are licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and we issue state-issued Certificates of Completion. Only your court or supervising officer can decide whether a given program satisfies your order, so confirm the program name with them before you enroll. We would rather say that plainly than have you find out after you have paid.
- Do you serve my county?
- We serve all 254 Texas counties. Because classes run over Zoom, where you live in the state does not limit which class you can take.
- When can I register?
- Online registration and live schedules are not open yet. Call or text us in the meantime and we will confirm the right class for your order and tell you the moment it opens.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- Some classes have them. Anger Management can be paid weekly instead of in full, and the Batterer Intervention and Prevention Program can be paid over time at a weekly rate. The price of every class is listed on its page.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. All sales are final once you enroll, including if you miss sessions, stop attending, are removed from a class, or later learn your court required a different program. The one exception is on our side: if we cancel a session and cannot reschedule you into an equivalent one, we refund what you paid for that class.
- Do you report my completion to the court?
- Yes. We report your enrollment, attendance, and completion to the court or supervising authority named in your order, and we keep records the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation may audit. Completing a court-ordered class is not private in the way an ordinary purchase is, and our privacy policy sets out exactly who sees what.
- What happens if I miss part of a session?
- Programs have required hours or a required number of sessions set by the state and by your order. Arriving late, leaving early, or being away from the screen can mean a session does not count toward those hours. Missing time does not entitle you to a refund.
- Can someone under 18 take a class?
- Yes. The Alcohol Education Program for Minors is for people under 18 charged with MIP, MIC, PI or DUI. A parent or legal guardian enrolls the minor, provides the contact and payment details, and receives the Certificate of Completion.
