Not License to Carry training
This course does not satisfy the training requirement for a Texas License to Carry (LTC). It is not the DPS-approved LTC classroom course or proficiency demonstration, and it issues no LTC-101 certificate of training. It is general firearm safety education for a court or probation order, and its certificate is not proof of legal eligibility to possess or carry a firearm. If you need an LTC, take that course from a DPS-certified LTC instructor. (Texas DPS Handgun Licensing)
How the class runs
You work through the lessons online in order, on your own schedule. Complete every lesson and pass the module quizzes and final assessment to finish the course.
What you get at the end
A Certificate of Completion once you finish every lesson, pass the module quizzes and final assessment, and pay your balance in full. We report your enrollment and completion to the court or supervising authority named in your order. Our privacy policy covers exactly what that reporting involves.
Before you enroll
Confirm with your court or probation officer that Firearm Safety is the program your order requires. Only they can decide whether a certificate satisfies it, and taking the wrong class is the most expensive mistake in this process. Have your order, cause or case number, and county to hand when you register.
